What does MileWiz do?

MileWiz is a mobile application that tracks your location for the purpose of recording your mileage automatically.

How does MileWiz work?

MileWiz utilizes proprietary algorithms to determine when you are in automotive motion, solely based on the sensors on your iPhone. It does not use any external devices that you need to attach to your vehicle, such a beacon. It does not require from you to turn it on or press a button to begin a trip. After installing on your iPhone and completing the initial setup, which takes about 2 minutes, it simply starts working.

What does MileWiz do with my location information?

MileWiz does not record your location information when you are not driving. MileWiz stores your location when you are driving and displays that information rendered on a map. When MileWiz stores information on your device (location and other information), it does so in an encrypted database. If you opt-in for a cloud account to keep a backup of your data, your data is transferred to the cloud via an encrypted channel and stored in the cloud in an encrypted database. The data in our cloud database is not accessible for anyone who doesn’t have the password for your account.

Our company does not have access to any customer’s location information.

How do I set up a cloud account?

Open MileWiz and go to Settings (bottom right corner), then select Cloud account > Sign Up. When you complete the Sign Up, MileWiz will upload all of your existing data to the cloud.
