Our Founder

In 2014, when MileWiz was first conceived, Maria Yordanova was working on a personal finance product helping customers navigate the waters of saving money, spending wisely and making difficult and important financial decisions. MileWiz came as an extension of that product, helping its customers to save money by increasing the mileage they can claim as tax deductible.

Maria, who is originally from Bulgaria, had already moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at the time. She and he partner spent months driving the streets of San Francisco while debugging and perfecting our trip detection algorithm to work in traffic, freeways, tunnels and underground parking garages.

Our Mission

Here at MileWiz we are passionate about financial savings and our products and services exist to fulfill a simple purpose - automate your mileage records. Even a step further - we want to achieve that in a matter of minutes. And that means no complicated setup, no external devices to attach to your vehicles. It works when you drive and your phone is with you. You don’t even need to remember to turn it on, as it’s always on.
